Ways to Get Involved
The days leading up to Home Visiting Day provide L.A. County’s home visiting programs and partner organizations with a special opportunity to promote and highlight local home visiting programs, spotlight the often life-changing benefits of these free programs, and recognize the hard work of home visiting staff.
Whether your organization provides direct services or you just support the work, there are many ways to participate!
Host In-Person or Virtual Event(s)
Spread the word about your home visiting program by hosting a celebration of staff and families. You might also host an info session or workshop on a topic that parents are interested in.
Use the Social Media Toolkit
Use our collection of graphics and sample social media posts to raise awareness about home visiting. Share with clients and with your organization’s communications team, and encourage them to post, post, post!
Record a Video
Help get the word out about home visiting! Use our tool to record yourself responding to the video prompts. If clients appreciate your work, ask them to record a quick video to let the world know. It’s quick and easy — we promise!

Partner with Local Officials
There are over 80 cities in L.A. County, so get your mayor to issue a proclamation! Just copy our email template, and send our sample proclamation. If the answer you get is yes, you can go big with a media event featuring home visitors and families, or just get the proclamation posted on the city’s website and promoted in newsletters. Let us know so we can share it too!

Engage your LA County Supervisor to share how home visiting programs in their district are helping pregnant women and families with young children. See the district-specific materials you can share with them
